Help Our Neighbors Get Through Tough Times

Ascent Microfinance continues to grow and we cannot thank our community and donors enough! Since making the switch to personal loans, we’ve been able to approve three clients for a combined amount of $3,545. The purpose of each loan was for various reasons such as buying equipment to work from home, catching up on bills, and emergency expenses. Each loan yields a low 5.5% interest rate to simply cover operating expenses for Ascent. As of today, we are proud to have 100% on-time repayment of our loans!

Additionally, we have secured a partnership with OSU Extension, an outreach program at OSU that serves 88 counties in Ohio by making resources available to the public. Ascent is excited to be working in collaboration with OSU Extension to provide loans to graduates of their program. We look forward to continuing this mutually beneficial partnership and excelling in our missions alongside each other. 

As we continue to expand, we need your help to reach our goal of raising $6,000 to provide more personal emergency loans for community members in need. Your contribution allows us to continue our mission of addressing economic inequalities and empowering individuals to take control of their finances. The COVID-19 pandemic has only increased the struggles of our patrons and we truly would appreciate your help!
